Let me introduce myself.
My "operations" job is to keep things moving along. In this respect you might think of me as a "church administrator." I help with budgeting, building issues, scheduling, policy development, staff issues and the like. If something doesn't seem to be working, you might give me a yell.
The "community engagement" part of my job is about our church and its involvement with service and justice issues in Lowell and beyond. My main task is to help congregation members do their ministry in the community, but also I am to respond when issues or people beyond our walls call for our attention. I grew up in the Midwest. After college I attended Eden Theological Seminary, was ordained and served as a congregational minister for ten years. Then I went back to school. I received a Ph.D. in Public Policy Analysis and Administration which led me to twenty-five years in academics.
I am married, live with my wife, daughter, son-in-law and two grandchildren. Three more grandchildren are in Arkansas (along with my son and his wife.)
